1. Chalermchai Kositpipat (เฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์)
He is among one of the greatest and famous artists in Thailand of all time. He was born on 15 February, 1955 and originally from Chiang Rai province in Thailand. He came from a poor and broken family. Yet, he managed himself to attained Silpakorn University in Bangkok and graduated with a Bachelor degree of Thai Art from Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts.
In the past, he also gave an art and painting lesson to the two daughters of the King Rama 9, Princess Ubolratana and Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Some of his famous creations include mural paintings at Wat Tri Thosathep and sculptures at Wat Khao Sukim. Chakrabhand also established his art foundation and art museum in Bangkok, where it collects his invaluable artwork and art learning center for students. With his unique signature Thai art style, makes him become one of most reputable famous artists in Thailand .
2. Thawan Duchanee (ถวัลย์ ดัชนี)
He is one of the most popular and famous artists in Thailand, was born on 27 September in 1939 from Chaing Rai province. Thawan graduated from leading Thai Art School, Silpakorn University. After years of learning and discovery, he found his style of art are mostly influenced by the Buddhist religion. His unique works comprised with monochrome technique. Using only Black and white colors or Black and red tones as he said to precisely express his inner feeling.
His first international art project was in 1977, when he painted his Thai art inside the Gottorf Castle in Germany. Thawan’s works have earned international reputation from his unique characteristics of his traditional Buddhist art style paintings. In 2001, Thawan was honored a National artist of Thailand by the National Culture Commission. Unfortunately, he has been passed away on September 3, 2014 at the age of 74 due to liver failure.
3. Chakrabhand Posayakrit (จักรพันธุ์ โปษยกฤต)
He is the most respected Thai painter and portraitist, features the famous traditional Thai dance theme and Thai literature scene paintings. He was born on 16th August 1943 in Bangkok, Thailand. Then he graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture, from Silpakorn University. In 2000, Chakrabhand was honored as a National Artist in Visual Arts by the National Culture Commission of Thailand.

4. Chatchawan Rodklongtan (ชัชวาล รอดคลองตัน)
He is one of the most talented and outstanding artists in these modern days. He was born on 4 June 1974 from Bangkok. In 1994, Chatchawan graduated from Rajamangala University, Faculty of Fine & Applied Arts. Most of his collections are related to the Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) and the philosophy of balanced peaceful life. He has a real life experience of being a Buddhist monk, hence it has become the major inspiration of his works. He implements the light and shadow technique incorporated with the unique Thai pattern details, making his works very popular among Thai collectors. One of his most honourable awards is the Grand Prix of the Beppu Asia Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2007, at Oita Beppu Art Museum, Japan.
For example, this contemporary Thai art of a beautiful woman (Arati) is also inspired from the Lord Buddha’s story. According to the legend, at the time before Prince Siddhartha attained Nirvana. Mara has sent his 3 daughters to prevent the enlightenment. The 3 beautiful daughters of Mara are the representation of the Causes of Suffering in Buddhism. The causes include Desire, Ignorance, and Hatred. Because if we still have these evil things in our life, we will never be happy. As we thrive for material goods or craving for pleasure, yet we will never be satisfied. Yet, the Price Siddhartha acknowledged the Four Noble Truth, hence he was able to reach Nirvana and absolute spiritual liberation.
5. Jatuporn Traisuwan (จตุพร ไตรสุวรรณ)
Mr. Jatuporn is the very first pioneer and expert Koi fish painter of Thailand. He was born in 1971 Thailand. His arworks had been displayed in many exhibitions, including the art show to honour His Majesty the King Rama 9 in 1996. His work was also chosen to be featured on a postcard of Rakthai Foundation in 2003. The uniqueness of Mr.Jatuporn works is the Realism concept that portrays the shapes and color of water movement. He said that “I am inspired by the beauty of fish as they move through the water, whether in aquariums or in their natural habitats.”
